Day One: Hunger

For the Starved

Aches that echo
through every land for all ages.
Aches that echo
through all people that time has ever known.
In old bare Ireland it raged,
still it eats on those who it’s caged.
Aches that echo.

This comes from day one of my month long Rondelet marathon! I was inspired by study of dietary habits of those in the late Middle ages, or rather, the lack thereof.
