I saw her laying there
Her snow white hair surrounding her, in a portrait of her own beauty
As I watched her sleep peacefully beside me
I could not help but wonder what was swimming around in that wonderful, smart, mind of hers
A strand of hair lays across her face
And as I push it away
She opens those blue eyes that would send the very sky into a jealous rage
I cannot help but smile at the woman who chose me of all people to love with all her heart
She smiles a tired smile and cuddles back into my tender loving embrace
As if my arms could purge her of all her sin
And send away all of her pain and sadness
