The blank page stares back at me
Mocking me with his taunting glares.
The hands on the clock ticking - tick tock
chanting, “Failure, failure, failure.”
My mind is frozen. I’m blank.
The neglected paper screams,
“Speak!”
My fingers wrap tightly around my pen
Willing the ink to leak some some genius.
The hands on the clock ticking - tick tock
chanting, “Failure, failure, failure.”
Self-consciousness eating away at my imagination
Whispers echo in my ears as I try to read the silence.
The blank page stares back at me.
Mocking me with his taunting glares.
My mind is frozen. I’m blank.
“Speak, speak, speak.”
My fingers fumble with my pen
Trying to will its story to life.
BUT the blot of ink from my pen
Smiles back back at me as it laughs.
The hands on the clock ticking - tick tock
chanting, “Failure, failure, failure.”
